Tweetworks TV Episode 51 – A Shout Out to the Ladies

with 4 comments

This one’s for all the ladies in the house!

I met a fantastic lady named Lesley Lambert at PodCamp Western Mass who, in addition to being totally awesome in her own right, recently joined Tweetworks and set up a group called TwitterQueens. It seems Lesley and a group of ladies get their tweet on with the hashtag #TwitterQueens and she thought it might be a super cool idea to use Tweetworks for the group. She asked if I would profile the group on the show and I thought that was a fantastic idea. In fact, I thought a whole show celebrating the women focused groups on Tweetworks would be cool. Yup! I’m going to do this show daily. Well, at least on weekdays. @NickInglis gave me a hard time but consitency wins.

Groups Featured In This Episode:

  1. BusinessBloggers@DeniseWakeman started this groups and she is setting a fine example for group engagement. Do you write a blog for your business?
  2. CanSuckIt – The phishing scam and hacking attacks that hit Twitter this weekend can suck it. This little group is just the place to let the world know what’s ticking you off. Have fun.
  3. SoS – I’m staying on the Sustainability of Social kick for a few days more because I think it is hugely important. I hope you’ll join me and share your thoughts. In this episode I’m teeing up financial aspect of the sustainabily issue. I highly recommend you watch the NewsHour debate on the newspaper industry, Gary Vaynerchuk’s (@Garyvee) Web 2.0 NYC Keynote, and the greatest entrepreneurial speech of all time by David Heinemeir Hansson (@D2H). Together these videos provide some interesting food for thought.
