Talking the Talk

About the Tweetworks Blog

First, what is Tweetworks? There are two answers to that depending on whether or not you are familiar with Twitter:

  1. If you said “I’m all over Twitter give me the scoop.” Tweetworks makes tweeting more useful by tuning out the noise and letting you participate in the conversations that interest you most.
  2. If you said “Twitter? Uh… doesn’t ring a bell.” Tweetworks is a place on the web where you can talk about the things you like to talk about with other people who like to talk about the same stuff.

Now about this blog:

Who’s blogging? Mike Langford is doing most if not all of the blogging.

What to expect:

  • This is where you’ll find insight into the logic and thought process behind the development of Tweetworks.
  • We’ll share our thoughts, analysis and general opinions on things we see happening in the social space.
  • Of course there will be video and “how to” stuff about using and getting the most out of Tweetworks.
  • As a bonus we’ll throw in a bit of yadda yadda and blah blah blah from time to time too.

A word of caution from Mike:

If my posts seem intentionally controversial and at times borderline hostile toward a certain way of doing things that would be on purpose. Obviously, there is a bias toward what we are doing at Tweetworks so no surprise there. It is in my nature to challenge assumptions and the status quo in an effort to create value. Sometimes that requires some bold words to shake readers from their comfort zones.

Mike’s promises and requests:

  • I will never assume I am smarter than you. No one likes the smartest guy in the room. Remember that, okay?
  • I will be wrong sometimes and I hope you will leave comments telling me why I’m wrong.
  • I will never be malicious or mean spirited. Please give me the benefit of the doubt that I was not intending to be hurtful if you see something that looks amiss.
  • I will blog as often as necessary.  I have no desire to become a rock star blogger. If you would like to write a guest post about something relevant to Tweetworks then let me know.
  • I will try to be concise but remember I started Tweetworks in large part because I love to talk. So, I promise to ask myself routinely if I’ve been too wordy.
